Pre baptismal course for those whose children are preparing for baptism will take place on Wednesday October 7th at 8.00pm.
Next Sunday October 4th is the Annual Day for life. A novena card with prayer and petitions will be available in our churches. The specific theme which the Irish Bishops have chosen for the Day for life this year is suicide. We pray for all those whose have died as a result of suicide and for their loved ones. May God console and comfort them.

Cloghertown Soccer Club We are asking all parishioners and friends to help us collect the tokens from the Drogheda Independent Sports-gear promotion for the next 5 week, in a bid to get a full kit of playing gear for the girls soccer team. The token is printed on the inside of the front page every week. Your help and support for this would be very much appreciated. We hope to have boxes at the back of Clonalvy and Curraha Church for you to leave these tokens in or they can be given to any player from the team. We need to collect 650 Tokens so your help is really needed.

Meath Diocesan Liturgy Commission is organising an event for everybody involved in parish liturgy ministry. You are invited to participate in this workshop which will focus on helping parish communities to better appreciate the relationship between ritual and music through song, prayer, and a shared ritual experience, focusing on Advent and Christmas. The dates and venues are: Monday 12th October Community Centre, Mullingar and Tuesday 13th Of October Dowdstown House, Navan. Participation in this event would be a great way to being a new year of ministry and it will offer the experience of music and ritual for all those who serve the parish community.

Patron Sunday in Ardcath last Sunday. Thanks to all who helped in making our Patron Sunday such a success. Thanks to the cemetery committee and to Tommy Hamilton for having our cemetery looking so well. A very sincere thank you to Gerry Caffrey and his Committee who restored our Festival to its former greatness. It was a wonderful community occasion. Thanks to all the sponsors for their generosity. A meeting of Ardcath/Clonalvy Parish Pastoral Council will take place on Wednesday night 23rd at 8.30pm in Clonalvy school. Ardcath church. Renovations are progressing well and a meeting was held last week with relevant parties. Parishioners are asked to be vigilant in Ardcath after some vandalism took place in the church grounds last Sunday evening.
A Board of Management meeting will take place on Monday night 21st at 8.30pm in Ardcath school.

A course in Ministry and Evangelisation is being offered in the diocese during the coming year. It is a one year course which begins in October and ends in July, 2010. Those who complete the Course successfully will receive a Diploma from Maryvale Institute in Birmingham. It is a distance learning course i.e. students study at home, following a Course book that is provided. Students do not need to attend classes, except for a study day at the beginning of each term at which they will receive Course materials and aspects of the course will be explained.
